Dizzy

Well here we are. We made it to Lhasa, Tibet... after getting up at 5am it was a bit of a struggle to keep awake.

We ran out of luck on the excess baggage thing and had to pay Y897 (about $AU150) between us to get our bikes to Lhasa. But I suppose that's bugger all given what that money is going towards...

We have 3-4 days of acclimatisation here in Lhasa. It's at 3600m or thereabouts and we're both feeling dizzy and breathless just walking up a flight of stairs. Glad to find an excuse to do sweet f$#%-all.

Met up with Sharon who is Jonesy's partner, and looks like we may be hopping on an easy Grade 2-3 river trip during our acclimatisation! Sweet... Jonesy runs a whitewater company and has paddling gear for us to use. Hope I don't drown. That'd suck just prior to a 4 week cycling odyssey.

Ok I'm going to try and attach some photos. I might put it on the next post so I don't lose this one.
